Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is the 27th state of India. It came into existence after getting separated from Uttar Pradesh in the year 2000. The state is famous for its natural beauty, historical richness and holds a divine aura. From the perspective of Hindu mythology, the state has significant importance. It is believed that Mahabharata was composed by age Vyasa in this state only.

Uttarakhand is bifurcated into two regions, namely Kumaon and Garhwal.
