Kashmir

How can one miss Kashmir while talking about summer escapades? Someone has truly said that Kashmir is a Paradise on Earth. The implausible beauty of this place, snow-capped mountains, houseboats of Dal Lake, Mughal Garden, and more make Kashmir one of the most beautiful places in the world. The city is itself an epitome of beauty, and no words have been yet made to describe the beauty of Kashmir. The place is beautiful enough to stimulate a poet in you. Kashmir is a wonderful place, especially for those who are eager to have a teeth-chattering experience even in summers as well. Places in Kashmir such as Sonamarg, Pahalgam, and Gulmarg will indeed let you have fun in the snow.

Just a few kilometers above Sonamarg, there is a place Zojila. You can visit Zojila pass to experience a temperature of minus 5 to 10 degrees, even in the summer months. The place got famous after the battle of Zojila. One of the most remarkable battles of 1948, was when the mighty Indian army warriors, from nowhere, deployed the tanks on those peaks.

Words are not enough to describe Kashmir, nor is a book enough to justify the resplendence of this place. Heavenly landscapes, mesmerizing apple farms, and the snow-capped mountains all make you wish to stay forever in Kashmir.

Dalhousie

One of the most alluring towns in Himachal Pradesh, Dalhousie is truly an exotic travel destination for this summer. Situated on five hills, Balun, Bakrota, Tehra, Patreon, and Kathlog, of the Dhauladhar mountain range, the place gives us a glimpse of British time. The place got its name after the name of Lord Dalhousie, then the British governor-general of India. That is why one can find Victorian-style houses built on slopes, several churches, Scottish architecture, and colonial-era buildings. Not just for its colonial architecture and snow-capped mountains, the place is also admired for other scenic elements, including the Ravi river flowing at the base of the town, a view of Pir Panjal mountain range, pines and oak trees, and various tourists spots like Dainkund Peak, Tibetan Market, Bakrota Hills, Kalatop, Mohali village, etc.
